WCEA’s Clean Energy Vision relies heavily on increasing the efficient use of energy. The morning will be dedicated to understanding current markets for efficiency products and services, the industry’s policy goals in the west, state-by-state planning targets, and ways of identifying non-wires resources.

Building a Clean Energy Alternatives Case for Retiring Coal
When coal plants come off line the inclination is to replace that energy with gas-fired resources. To reach the CEV, advocates will need to build a case that clean energy resources can fill the gap. We’ll examine the Boardman Coal Plant in Oregon as a case study.
